Toolbox of Hope

Where can those affected by trauma find hope? How can Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG) impact Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)? What do survivors want? Who does God’s heart go out to? What can churches offer? Who are best able to support? What does a restorative journey look like? In the last few years PTG has been widely pursued to rebuild lives in the aftermath of trauma. Here in Toolbox of Hope we offer practical answers to difficult questions and proven steps for personal transformation. Our focus is positive progress and holistic support for survivors and their supporters.

Robert Lightowler, MSc, GMBPsS has over forty years of pastoral experience in four locations in the UK. He was a teacher for fifteen years and a prison chaplain for ten. He and his wife, Sue, have five children and eight grandchildren. Post-Traumatic Growth is the central subject of his Master’s Thesis. Workshops have been held for Christian Medical Fellowship, Youth With A Mission, churches and other charities. He is the founder of Restore International.
